Beer and Burger Fundraiser
On Saturday, November 12, 2017 we are hosting a Beer and Burger Event at Mr. Mike's Steakhouse, 101 - 2763 Beverly Street, Duncan (@ Beverly Corners), from 4 to 7 pm.
For $25 you can support the SNA while enjoying a delicious burger, beer, and your choice of fries or salad.
There will be a 50/50 draw, spin the prize wheel, and a silent auction.
Sahtlam Town Hall Meeting
On Tuesday, November 14, 2017 we are hosting a Town Hall Meeting at the Sahtlam Fire Hall, starting at 7 pm.
This is a chance to come together as neighbours to discuss issues of concern in our community. SNA Directors will provide an update on our lawsuit against the Vancouver Island Motorsport Circuit, their application to rezone 230 acres of adjacent property for expansion of the racetrack, CVRD local area planning initiatives, our upcoming AGM, membership, and more.
Come enjoy a cup of coffee or tea, a cookie or two, and consider supporting our Legal Defense Fund by purchasing beef jerky, T-shirts, signs, and other items.
SNA Annual General Meeting
As a registered non-profit society, we are required to hold an Annual General Meeting (AGM) within 15 months of incorporation. Our first AGM will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 7 pm @ the Sahtlam Fire Hall.
Members in good standing will vote to appoint (or reappoint) the Board of Directors. We will discuss the society's activities thus far, strategies for moving forward, and hear reports from the President and the Treasurer summarizing events over the past year.
Anyone is welcome to attend, but only members will be allowed to vote. We will be renewing memberships at the Town Hall Meeting on November 14 (see above), or you can contact us to renew.
